Led by Maria of Intueri.org, several medical bloggers known for their soaring prose have decided to write the cheesiest posts possible. Is it a cleansing ritual? An attempt to identify their worst tendencies? Or just plain fun? Read this excerpt from Dr. Charles, and see for yourself:

"Hello, Mr. Walton," I greet my first patient of the morning. He's here for a mild case of athlete's foot. "It would seem to me that you've stumbled upon a most vexing symbiosis of human flesh and burgeoning fungus. The scaling of your toes reminds me of the delicate layers of life, and our fragile existence here on this little blue rock we call Earth." At this point I begin weeping.

Us, too -- weeping with joy.
