Standards of Excellence of the MSM

The MSM ("main stream media") describes the "first non-drug asthma treatment" tested, in the Associated Press breaking news splash across the internet, late yesterday. The problem? We covered an innovative bronchial thermoplasty technique (and Air2Trial) back in February. In summary, the technique involves a bronchoscope, equipped with a radio frequency thermal ablator, that "zips" airway smooth muscles.

The question is: how is it possible that our small group of practicing clinicians and university students can cover news again and again, months in advance? What are the real reporters doing?
