Given Imaging's Agile™ Patency System

Approved by FDA. Helps MI6Given Imaging Ltd., an Israeli company most famous for its PillCam™ capsule endoscope, has received FDA marketing approval for its Agile Patency Capsule. The dissolvable capsule is to be used in cases of suspected upper GI obstruction to rule out the blockage.

According to the press release:

The Agile Patency Capsule will give physicians confidence that a PillCam™ video capsule will pass freely in a patient with known or suspected strictures.

It's all a question of safety. In other words, will a person feel safe boarding a plane or entering government offices knowing that he has a miniaturized Israeli device stuck in the duodenum, emitting radio-frequency communications? It's a nightmare scenario for intelligence services world wide.
