Cellvizio 100 Series Endomicroscopy System Obtains 510(k) Clearance from FDA

Mauna Kea Tehconologies receives FDA clearance to market their
next generation confocal laser endomicroscopy system, the Cellvizi 100 Series, for work within GI and pulmonary tracts. The probe-based microscope provides real-time images of tissue at the cellular level while a physician is performing a procedure such as an endoscopy or bronchoscopy. The microscopic imaging may potentially improve detection of pre-cancerous lesions.
The Cellvizio 100 Series utilizes upgrades such as an improved user interface and a “cine review” feature enabling physicians to concentrate on a particular frame.
