Designer Joe Brussel has developed a conceptual idea for an insulin pump glucose management system. As is often the case, the design is ahead of the technology necessary to implement it. But we can always dream, and, considering the speed of technological progress, we’ll probably see something similar in the not too distant future. Here’s what Joe Brussel envisions for the pump: “Utilizing a flexible elastomer embedded with artificial setae, the nano-scale growths found on gecko’s feet which allow them to stick to virtually any surface.”
