Medtronic has announced the U.S. launch of its Profile 3D™ Annuloplasty Ring for mitral valve repairs. The company touts the three-dimensional annuloplasty ring configuration as a design that can potentially offer more “natural mitral geometry” for “natural valve dynamics” and the “potential for increased durability in the repaired heart valve.”
